Sonotech Medical Center Provides Support for Singing World Record Attempt
Accra Ghana - Prominent Ghanaian philanthropist Dr. Grace Buckman and her Sonotech Medical Diagnostic Center medical staff supported musician Afua Asantewaa in her bid to break the Guinness World Record for a longest singing marathon.
Dr. Buckman, an alumna of the prestigious Jacobs-Abbey Global Institute for Leadership Studies and a Medical Director of Sonotech Medical Center, provided on-call medical assistance to Ms. Asantewaa throughout her 50-hour, nonstop vocal performance. A team of nurses and vocal health experts from Sonotech monitored Ms. Asantewaa's vitals and vocal stamina during the record attempt last Saturday.
"When I heard about Afua's brave endeavour to make history as part of a fundraising campaign, I felt compelled to offer Sonotech's medical expertise to support her vision and keep her healthy," said Dr. Buckman in an interview before the event.
"We wish Afua the utmost success, health, and safety as she attempts this awe-inspiring world record that will also better lives," Dr. Buckman had remarked.
