It is with great honor and pride that I inform you of an outstanding achievement by one of our exemplary alumni.
Issaaka Issifu, a dedicated human rights advocate who completed our 2021 International Human Rights Education cohort, has been awarded a full scholarship by the United Nations and Swiss government to pursue a master’s degree in human Rights, International Criminal Law, and Transitional Justice at the prestigious University of Prishtina in Kosovo.

This is a monumental opportunity for Issaaka to significantly advance his global knowledge and capabilities to promote leadership and human rights. Having instructed Issaaka this past year, I can attest firsthand to his fierce intellect, unparalleled work ethic, and deep-seated passion for creating meaningful, equitable change worldwide.
Issaaka’s selection among a highly competitive field of applicants is a powerful testament to Jagils’ ability to equip students with the skills, mindsets, and conviction to excel globally. His ambition to explore new academic frontiers and engage with top-tier international experts will undoubtedly accelerate his positive impact.

As Issaaka prepares for this next chapter in August 2024, we will cheer him on here at Jagils every step of the way.
