Prof (Dr) Riyas Sulaima Lebbe is a Professor of Human Rights and Peace Studies of the British American University, Florida USA and the Vice Chancellor for BAU Sri Lanka campus. He is a Member of the Council and the Management Committee of the BAU.

He completed his MBA and DBA in Human Resource Management and MSc in International Relation. He worked in the areas of Management Consultant, Corporate Trainer and Independent Researcher in Human Rights and Peace Studies. He is an Executive Director of the Centre for Peace Studies, Sri Lanka and the Universal Management Consultancy service. He is a former Member of the Council of the Southeastern University of Sri Lanka appointed by the University Grand Commission of Sri Lanka.

He specialized in Human Security, Conflict Prevention, Peace building, Human Rights, Gender Equality, Social & Economic Development, Natural Disaster Management, International Solidarity Network, Environment Protection, Project Management.

Dr. Riyas is a Chartered Economist, Chartered Human Resource Project Manager and Master Management Consultant. He is a fellow of American Academy of Project Management and Visiting professor and Academic Consultant of EDSA School of Sweden. Member of Advisory Board of the Brolly Journal published by London Academic Publishing Ltd UK and the Co-Editor of BANKLINE and Research Paper Journals published by Bangladesh Institute of Professional Studies.

He is a consultant and trainer for NGO management programs of the many UN partner organizations. Also, being a Member of the Advisory Board of the Asian African Chamber of Commerce and Industries.
