Dr. Samuel Jacobs-Abbey was appointed as Global Diplomatic Council special envoy to the United Nations and African Union. Prior to his appointment, Ambassador Dr. Jacobs-Abbey serves as the Executive Director of Jacobs-Abbey Global Institute for Leadership Studies. He previously served as Director of International Center for Conflict and Human Rights and Programs Director for Sub Saharan Africa for Youth for Human Rights International.

His passion for gender equality and the protection of children has been evident throughout his career, especially in his contribution to the passage of Domestic Violence Acts and the Human Trafficking Act, as well as ratification of related conventions at the level of the African Union and the United Nations. Dr. Samuel Jacobs-Abbey is revered for his leadership on Global Public Health Diplomacy and strategic Leadership.

In addition to his diplomatic services, Dr. Samuel Jacobs-Abbey has had a long career in international development. he has served as a consultant for Youth for Human Rights International, UNICEF, UNESCO, UNDP, UNV, Children of the Earth, One Humanity Institute, Junior Chamber International among others. He was the chairman of the Board of Trustees for African Girls Hope Foundation. He was a Senior Technical advisor for Girls Excellence Movement (a US Based Non-for-profit organization leading the effort in empowering girls across the globe.) Her Served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for African Hope Girls Foundation. 

Ambassador Dr. Jacobs-Abbey was an Institute of Comparative Studies Fellow at University of Connecticut where he studied International Human Rights, Leadership and Conflict Resolution. He is a recipient of prestigious Mahatma Gandhi Leadership Award for Social Good by Lanka Achievers Foundation aimed at honoring and popularizing the social good impact of thousands of individuals and organizations making social change impact

He is respected and known for his extensive charitable work and contributions to the community and over the course of his career, he has served on various commissions for promoting health and well-being, reducing poverty, promoting economic development, and reforming leadership.

Ambassador Dr. Samuel Jacobs-Abbey is a graduate of Donald R. Tapia School of Business at Saint Leo University where he obtained MBA in Healthcare Management and Business Analytics. He holds a PhD. in Health Services with a Special concentration in Public Health Policy from College of Health Science, Walden University. He obtained his associate degree and Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Administration and Management from Purdue Global University. He is a Harvard T. H Chan School of Public Health and Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public health patient quality and safety trained.

He has a professional development training in Resilience of local governments. A multi-sectoral approach to integrate Public Health and Disaster risk management from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) He was among the first batch of the World Health Organization trained in Operational Planning Guidance and COVID19 partners platform to support country and local government preparedness and response. As an adjunct, Ambassador Dr. Samuel Jacobs-Abbey have provided organizational leadership plans and implement strategic training and development opportunities globally and utilize experiential learning, video, and synchronous virtual learning methodologies to deliver product-specific training and spearheaded instructor-led training through the utilization of different LMS, Oracle, Blackboard, Canvas Adobe pdf etc. Passionate about training and education, he created the Jacobs-Abbey Global Institute for Leadership Studies to help students nurture skills and knowledge.
