Juliana AmaKplorfia is a Project Management Professional with more than eight years’ experience in successfully completing projects from initiation to close, on time, within approved budget and scope. She is able to prioritize effectively; multi-task and achieve objectives within timelines and also good at leading cross-functional teams for the realization of successful project implementation. She is a problem solver, goal oriented and Team player who is good at taking initiatives
Ms. Kplorfia has worked in the Office of the President of the Republic of Ghana in various capacities and also served in Committees that accomplished government initiatives and State events since 2008 till date. In 2013, she successfully managed the database upgrade project to enhance the productivity of the Records Unit of the Presidency and trained Staff accordingly. She has served in the standing committee that plans and hosts Ghana’s Independence and Republic Day Celebrations from 2010 - 2015. She was instrumental in the smooth relocation of the Presidency from the Osu Castle to its current location, the Flagstaff House, from planning through to closing. She was also a member of the Team that planned and successfully hosted the Presidential Inauguration Ceremony, to inaugurate President John Dramani Mahama at which the then US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton was in attendance. Additionally, Ms. Kplorfia led the team that developed the Transport Policy for the Presidency and was a member of the team that developed the Management Policy for the Presidential Households (Peduase Lodge, Independence Square, State Banquet Hall, etc). As a member of the Fire Safety Committee, Ms. Kplorfia played a critical role in the development of the Fire Safety Manual for the Presidency. She is astute in handling work-related pressure and is enthusiastic about change management and business process re-engineering and an expert in managing multi-functional Teams.
She was part of the team that planned the inauguration of H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo on 7th Jan. 2017.
As a member of the steering committee that plans state visits. MS Kplorfia has led her team to host, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, Flotus Mrs. Trump, German Federal Chancellor, among other world leaders. She also worked in the team that planned and hosted a state funeral for Ghana's illustrious son, Kofi Annan.
Ms. Kplorfia is currently the Officer-In-Charge of Presidential Households at the Presidency of the Republic of Ghana. She also has oversight responsibility on the general Administration Transport fleet as well as the Mechanical Workshop of the Presidency.
She is a mentor on the Mandela Washington Fellowship,(MWF) for Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Program under USAID and IREX.
She also is a Mentor on the Dream Believe Achieve Network programs with Vodafone Ghana
She currently serves on the Board of the Ghana Gulf Chamber of Commerce (GGCC) and also the Head of Strategy for Health Intelligence Incorporation, a task she handles virtually. She also is a member of the Executive Board for the MUSIGA (Musicians Union of Ghana) Presidential Grand Ball.
Ms. Kplorfia is the Executive Director for the Expert Project & Protocols GH. A project management training, event planning and protocol service providing company.
On the educational front, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Ghana. Further obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Budgeting and Financial Management, Post Graduate Certificate in Public Administration all from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) in 2011 and 2012 respectively. Having developed the passion for managing projects, she successfully completed a Project Management course and went further to pass the Project Management Institute’s PMP Certification Exam, earning her the prestigious PMP suffix. She earned her Master’s Degree in Public Administration (MPA) specializing in e-Government and e-Policy from the SunKyunKwan University on South Korean Government scholarship
On the social front, she was groomed by many development oriented programs in high school. She was a founding member of Junior Achievement Club in Oda Senior High School. She is passionate about issues concerning the girl child in deprived communities; and has therefore been engaged in girl child motivational outreach programs since 2006, under the Girls Excellence Movement (GEM) which she foundered. She is also a member of the Lions Club contributing her quota to the service of the under privileged in society.She is a mother of two lovely boys.
